Who We Are
Glenview Community Church is an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, located in the Village of Glenview, Illinois, a northside suburb of Chicago. Since 1897, Christians have gathered here to worship the Triune God, proclaim the transforming grace of Jesus Christ to all people, and work for the triumph of justice and the reign of peace by the power of the Holy Spirit.

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE
Glenview Community Church is a Christian community of acceptance and welcome for all God’s people. Because we strive to make our campus (buildings and grounds) a place of sanctuary and safety for each person who comes here, our campus is:

Inspired by Christ,
Enriched by Faith,
Committed to Inclusivity.
We serve God as advocates for Justice,
Compassion, and Peace.

Program History
Glenview Community Church decided to initiate its Pastoral Residency Program in Fall 2023. Our inaugural Resident brought gifts of fresh leadership and a new voice to our congregation. We look forward to seeing how God will shape us through our next Resident’s presence. We are honored by the task of helping form future leaders for Christ’s church.

Interviews will begin in early March 2025.
