Organization Description
Stony Creek Congregational Church is located in a Long Island Sound coastal community halfway between Boston and New York City and minutes away from New Haven, Connecticut in an area which contains a myriad of recreational, cultural and educational opportunities. The Church is in a village which contains a library, history museum, post office, small theater, two small restaurants, town beach and dock. Its parsonage is located within a short walk from the Church.
Job Description
The Church is looking for a pastor eager to join with us in following Christ, loving God and serving community. The full-time position includes but is not limited to conducting Sunday worship service, and other special services including baptisms, weddings and funerals, conducting in-home and other visits, bible study and participation in church and community events.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
The Church is seeking an ordained minister with the qualifications and experience necessary to carry out the job duties.
Time Commitment
A minimum of forty (40) hours a week.
Benefits
The Church is a member of the NACCC. Th Church pays a fixed amount to compensate for benefits. The use of a parsonage is provided. Two weeks’ vacation, five sick/personal days and all federal holidays are provided.
