Founded in 1863, Stowe Community Church is an open and affirming, non-denominational church, located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. It is a uniting congregation of Congregationalist, Universalist and Methodist churches (1920) but aligns theologically most closely with the United Church of Christ. Its 100 member congregation worships weekly in both traditional and contemporary settings, and is served by a staff of four. Our sanctuary has a seating capacity of 240 and is housed in an iconic New England church building said to be the most photographed church in our region. Church ministries include Bible study, youth education, a robust local mission outreach, women’s ministries, music ministry, and outreach to the community. Our church is located in the heart of a mountain resort town which serves as a year-round destination for outdoor recreation and tourism.
